PRE-16 ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION

Pre-16 alternative education

For some students the traditional school environment is not a place they feel they can concentrate, develop and flourish. In these cases, Riverside Learning & Education Centre, awarded 'Good' by Ofsted, offers pre-16 alternative education.
Please note that due to a change in Liverpool Education departments policy, we can no longer take direct referrals. (please contact the A.P.T. Liverpool team).
We continue to hope for a change in policy and seek alternate funding to reintroduce this student focused learning through after school homework clubs and other forms of support.
SADLY DUE TO THE ABOVE, THIS PROGRAMME IS PAUSED AS WE ARE UNABLE TO RECRUIT

Creating equal opportunities

Regardless of the situation, Riverside Learning & Education Centre believe that every student should have equal learning and development opportunities. Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and providing an alternative to traditional education, we are able to help individuals under the age of 16 work towards obtaining the skills and qualifications they need to follow their chosen career path.

Support and guidance

Our team ensures that all students get close support by working in both small groups and on a one to one basis, dependent on the learning needs of the individual. Through ongoing guidance and relationship building, we aim to promote confidence, self-esteem, and most importantly of all, a willingness to learn.

Referrals are made via the Liverpool Alternative Provision Team.

Developing skills

Working in conjunction with Liverpool City Council, our alternative education programme is available for any young person who is out of mainstream education.

We aim to improve Maths and English skills, and help individuals focus on what they want from their lives.

Maths and English support available as part of courses.
Practice your Maths at Family maths or at BBC Skillwise.
